I have been working toward publication for a long time, a long long time, in fact. I’ve been writing since the age of ten, but I’ve been seriously working toward getting my books published since I was fifteen. That’s well over a decade (I’m not telling you how much over a decade!) of steady work, all building toward this moment.
I am very excited to announce that my first novel Pirate’s Redemption, a historical adventure set in the golden age of piracy, has been released by Brackburn Publishing. You can check out the book on their website or find it on Amazon or Smashwords directly, or by clicking on the cover image on the right-hand side bar of this website.
So far Amazon and Smashwords are the only two online retailers carrying the book, because it goes to the others (Apple store, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, etc.) through Smashwords, which has an approval process in order to be distributed. The book was approved for expanded distribution earlier this week, so now it is in the hands of those wider retailers, who typically take two-to-three weeks for the books to get into their own stores. I will keep adding links as I find them.
The book is also going into paper print for those of you who want to hold a real book in your hands. This process is more complex than the e-book uploading, but I’m happy to say that I have already gotten one proof, edited it, applied the changes, and should be getting the second proof sometime early next week. I’m hoping the paper version will be available for purchase by the middle of next week.
Stay tuned on the blog for more info, and, as always, keep reading!
